I am a second-year Ph.D. nursing student at College of Nursing, Kaohsiung Medical University. I have been here for a year. I graduated with my bachelor and master degree from Thailand. I have been working as a lecturer at Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University. First of all, I would like to acknowledge my mother school, Faculty of Nursing, Mahidol University, Thailand, to give me an opportunity for studying PhD program. I am a lecturer and work in an academic area; therefore, higher education is necessary for my career. I would like to expand my knowledge and experience in elderly care, specifically in long-term care (LTC), to serve the aged population in Thailand. Taiwan was the first choice when I selected the places to study in my expertise. The health care system in Taiwan is the first rank in the world, especially in elderly care. Taiwan has become an ageing society since 1993, which Taiwan gives importance to elderly care. They have gradually developed an elderly care system that could support the trend of increasing the older population. The LTC system is a very sustainable and excellent exemplar for other countries, developing the LTC system. Taiwan is the best country to deal with the serious health situation in the world as the Covid-19 pandemic. That illustrates as Taiwan is the best country in the health care system. Thus, I firmly believe that the PhD program at Kaohsiung Medical University would support me to be an LTC nurse with challenging knowledge for an ageing society.

Even though Taiwan is a small island, it has many amazing things such as the environment, population, facilities, and culture. The weather is nice, consists of four seasons per year as fall, winter, spring, and summer, easy to spend the life in here that I have not much adapted myself to stay here why I decided to select the south of Taiwan. Taiwan is a spotless country and not much trash outside. Taiwanese are friendly, kind, polite, disciplined and responsible.

Spending life in Taiwan is easy and convenient because of many facilities such as transportation (high-speed train or MRT or buses), and relaxing places (parks or shopping mall or natural areas). Several places are exciting and attractive to let traveler come to see. Additionally, Taiwan is located in Asia as Thailand. Both of them have a similar Asian culture, such as family, personal characteristics, living, and so on. That makes me feel here as my second home. Importantly, the currency rate is not high when compared with my country that I can afford it. These are my reason why I decided to study in Taiwan, and I made a right decision.

Finally, I also acknowledge the College of Nursing, School of Nursing, Kaohsiung Medical University, Taiwan, to accept me as part of your family.
