KMU traveled to Surabaya on August 6–7, 2026, and to Medan on August 9 to participate in Taiwan higher education fairs and recruitment activities. During the events, KMU introduced its educational features, research strengths, international exchange opportunities, and scholarship resources to local high school and university students and their parents. Through these activities, KMU actively promoted study opportunities in Taiwan and recruited outstanding Indonesian students, while further fostering higher education cooperation between Taiwan and Indonesia.

KMU was represented at the education fairs by Distinguished Professor Ching-Min Chen, Dean of the College of Nursing, and Wei-Yu Lin, Chair of the Department of Medicinal and Applied Chemistry.

During the fairs, Ambassador Hung Chen-Jung, Representative of the Taipei Economic and Trade Office in Indonesia; Su Yu-Lung, Chairperson of the Overseas Community Affairs Council University Consortium; and Kuan Yao-Chung, Chair of the Organizing Committee of the Taiwan Higher Education Fair in Indonesia, visited KMU’s booth. They expressed their support for KMU’s international recruitment efforts and recognized the University’s long-standing engagement with Indonesia’s higher education sector and its efforts to cultivate international talent.

In addition to participating in the education fairs, the College of Nursing visited Airlangga University in Surabaya, while the College of Life Sciences met with KMU alumni in Yogyakarta. These visits provided valuable opportunities for academic and alumni exchange and further strengthened KMU’s connections with Indonesian universities and alumni.
