You have to try first.

Taiwan is one of the countries with the best health care system in the world, that’s what I knew at first. Since then I have been looking for various information related to how I made it possible to study in Taiwan.

At that time in 2018, there was a university in Taiwan on a tour to Surabaya, Indonesia, I followed the activities and tried to apply as a student. I got the LOA but not with the scholarship. Of course, it would be difficult I think at that time if I didn’t get a scholarship to study in Taiwan, things that recently could be compromised by various alternatives that universities could provide.

A year after, 2019 I once again tried to apply, this time to the School of Nursing, Kaohsiung Medical University. I am grateful that this time I received both LOA and a scholarship from the university. Nevertheless, the other door of opportunity was open: Taiwan Ministry of Education (MOE) offered also scholarship applications and I tried it, and finally got the MOE scholarship!

One of course assignments, Ph.D. Program in Nursing

I left for Taiwan in September 2019 and became a PhD student at the School of Nursing, KMU. Fun days of course, I learned a lot about the Health Care System in Taiwan and became a user. Of course, at the school of nursing, my classmates and I also learn a lot from professors who are experts in their fields, and do good research.

During this pandemic, Taiwan is also very good at handling cases. The campus is also very concerned with the health conditions of students. So, from the beginning I never hesitated or worried to go to school in Taiwan, especially at Kaohsiung Medical University.

The university and I look forward to welcoming you here in Taiwan.
